So I'm looking for someone to build me a custom telecaster and this just looks too good to pass up ... the Ikea Butcher Block Telecaster, made from a £20 Ikea kitchen chopping block. Having spent the last month looking at £3000 flame-maple boutique telecasters that I'd be scared to take out of the case for fear of scratching the finish, I really like the idea of a gnarly piece of cheap wood knocked up into a guitar. And the guy's arrogance is outstanding, he won't even sell you a guitar unless he likes the way you play.

I like his take on "vintage" guitars too ...
